About This Center

MBDA Business Center, Puerto Rico is operated by the the Asociacíon Productos de Puerto Rico covering the entire island.

The main objective is to provide technical assistance to companies so they can achieve greater participation in local and global markets using strategic growth alternatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

As a direct result of our services entrepreneurs can create and retain jobs and have greater access to capital and business opportunities.

Teresa Berrios

Teresa Berrios, Project Director, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. In 2004 took the Implementing System for High Quality Service course offered by The Tuck School of Business at Darmouth. She is member of the San Juan Board of Labor Development and The Supplier Evaluation Committee of the Puerto Rico Minority Supplier Development Council.

Since 1997, she has been Director of the PR MBDA Business Center, program funded by the Minority Business Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce and operated by Asociacion Productos de Puerto Rico, Inc. Teresa is responsible for the marketing, outreach and operations of the Center. She also provides assistance to mbes in private and public procurement, certification process and advocacy. Under her leadership the Center has received recognitions from the PR District Office of the Small Business Administration and the PR Minority Supplier Development Council. Also, MBDA has recognized the Center with the Century Club Award for its Outstanding Performance. The main objective of the Center is to provide management and technical assistance to minority entrepreneurs for the growth of their businesses in PR and other markets. We have been able to assist many local firms to export, obtain procurements, access to capital and create jobs for the benefit of the economic development of Puerto Rico.
